City Manager Aretha Adams has congratulated Public Affairs Officer Bailey Ragsdale and her staff for winning a first-place award from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers. Murphy took first in the internal communications category for cities with populations under 75,000 with the “Murphy COOL” campaign.

The letters come from the “c” in respectful, “o” in professional, “o” in trustworthy” and “l” in friendly.

“This campaign was the culmination of the efforts of 94% of Murphy employees participating in focus groups and work sessions to develop the core value from the words respectful, professional, trustworthy and friendly,” Adams said at the Tuesday, June 17 meeting of the Murphy City Council. “That’s who we are as the staff who serve you in the community, and those are the values that we live out every day.”
