Child’s play: New business opens in Murphy

Parents wanting to have their children get in some playtime and do some learn­ing in the process can find those activities at the newly opened Play Street Museum in Murphy.

The business opened Feb. 3, said franchise owner Kristy Rubio. Play Street Museum operates at 217 E. Farm to Market Road 544, Suite 509, and caters to children ages 8 and younger. The business seeks to “encourage young children’s sense of indepen­dence, exploration and cre­ativity,” according to a com­pany brochure. Play Street Museum started in Frisco in 2014 and has expanded throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston and other states.
