Barbecue teams sought for cookoff

Plans are proceeding for a new spring event, with the city soliciting entries for the Backyard BBQ Competition.

Director of Parks & Recreation Director Matt Foster told the Tuesday, Feb. 18, meeting of the Murphy City Council that barbecue cooking teams are being sought for the event that will replace the annual Tunes, Tails & Ales festival.
