RTG, who is trying to develop a 101-acre development, also owns 12.4 acres of land inside the Parker city limits and sought to develop a subdivision called Post Oak Estates comprising five 2-acre lots and a roadway called “Street A” extending south from Gregory Lane to a temporary turn-around at the 101-acre development.
Developers of what could be a densely populated subdivision between Parker and Murphy are seeking permission to build a road that could eventually link to the disputed development.
However, Restore the Grasslands (RTG) pulled back its preliminary plat application prior to its consideration on the agenda for the Oct. 23 meeting of the Parker Planning & Zoning Commission.
RTG, linked to the family trusts of Dallas developers Phillip and Don Huffines, owns 101 acres in what was Parker’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, just north of Murphy’s Rolling Ridge neighborhood.
