The first-place winners are Evelyn A. in the K-1st group, Hailey Y. in 2nd-3rd, Salma A. in 4th-6th and Gurleen K. in 7th-10th. The second-place winners are Musa U. in K-1st, Madelyn C. in 2nd-3rd, Raya Q. in 4th-6th and Nicol A. in 7th-10th. Aliyah C., Ava K., Evan K., Hollie B., Mila M., Minahil J., Paetyn W., Shaktii L. and Zed G. are this year’s Great Job winners.

This year, students were asked to create artwork featuring their own Recycle Hero. Entries had to be original and completed without assistance from others or technology.

First place winners in each division viewed one of the Murphy recycling trucks that features their art and took a photo with Mayor Scott Bradley last week. The winners also chose between a $200 gift card from Amazon, Visa or Walmart.

Second place winners have their artwork displayed in local Murphy businesses.

Great job winners have their artwork displayed in local Murphy businesses and on big belly trash/recycle cans throughout the city.
