For the third consecutive game, the Plano East football team looked to conjure some late-game magic.

Plano East took grabbed momentum into the fourth quarter of last Friday’s cross-town rivalry game against Plano after senior Blake Letourneau booted a 32-yard field goal, but the Wildcats denied the Panthers another late-game comeback.

Plano outscored Plano East 10-0 in the fourth quarter, with a 42-yard rushing touchdown by Chance Culley with 2:10 left in the ballgame sealing a 34-24 victory for the Wildcats from John Clark Stadium.

Panthers senior quarterback Jackson Hays had a nice bounce-back game after throwing zero touchdowns with two interceptions in a 21-14 home victory against Prosper Rock Hill the previous week. Against Plano, he completed 16-of-25 passes for 205 yards with three total touchdowns.

Jackson Howard led all receivers with 100 yards on six catches. Ryan Fariello chipped in six pass receptions for 70 yards.
