The Murphy City Council is exploring a location-specific rideshare program for seniors and disabled residents with trips booked on the city’s website.
Trippp Consulting partners with Uber to provide discounted-cost rides on demand and with MT Connect for rides for persons requiring wheelchair assistance, he said.
The company, based in Kyle, already serves Wylie.
In other business at the regular meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 7, council abolished the teen curfew in effect for 20 years. A new state law removed the city’s authority to impose curfews.
