Plano (1-0 in 6-6A, 2-2) hands Plano East (0-1, 3-1) their first loss of the season, 33-22 was the final score at Clark Stadium in Plano.

Daniel Fayombo left the game early with an injury, which impacted the Panthers’ rush offense. The passing game generated some offense, but the Panthers fumbled the ball away four times for turnovers.

Rushil Patel kept the Panthers in the game with six catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns, including an 89-yard catch in the first quarter. The Panthers finished the night with a season-low 48 rushing yards to go along with 286 passing yards for a total of 334. East quarterback Drew Devillier threw 20 out of 27 completions for 286 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Plano took advantage with a total of 415 total yards, 241 of which came through the air. Wildcats quarterback Drew Forkner threw 16 of 33 completions for 241 yards and two touchdowns, including a 36-yard bomb to wide receiver Esteban Deras at the horn to end the first half.

The Panthers return home next Friday to face the Hebron Hawks (2-2) on Homecoming night at Kimbrough Stadium in Murphy.
