Well, shucks: Maize Days, a festival that celebrates Murphy’s corn heritage, is fast approaching.
The 12th annual festival begins at noon on Sept. 25 at Murphy Central Park, with the event featuring food, live music, market vendors and a fireworks display that will top off the day. The event was not held last year because of the pandemic. This year, however, it will start at noon instead of its previous 10 a.m. start time.
Maize Days also features a classic car show, a pet adoption spot, kids zone, hay maze, petting zoo, a slide, and retail, food and non-profit and market vendors.
