New tenants coming to Murphy Marketplace

A new, six-tenant retail building will be coming soon to Murphy Marketplace, the Murphy Community & Eco­nomic Development office an­nounced.

The 8,637-foot building will be built at the northeast corner of FM 544 and North Murphy Road and is designed to accom­modate up to six tenants, in­cluding a drive-thru restaurant.

Phillips Edison & Company, based in Cincinnati, owns the Murphy Marketplace.

“There will be retail and or service-section tenants,” Jared Mayfield, director of commu­nity and economic develop­ment for the city of Murphy, told the News. “I don’t think everything is finalized with the tenants … but we have worked with a couple of those potential tenants.”
