Plano East's Jonathan Meadors led the Panthers with 200 yards rushing and three touchdowns during last week's 60-35 win over McKinney. The Panthers look to take a step closer to the postseason this Friday by beating Plano West at Clark Stadium.

One win and they’re likely in; Plano East faces that scenario Friday.
Should the Panthers, who are coming off a 60-35 victory last Frdiay over McKinney, defeat Plano West at Clark Stadium, then they will be 4-1 in District 6-6A with just two games left to play: Plano on Friday, Oct. 28 at Kimbrough Stadium and the Oct. 4 regular-season finale versus Allen at Clark.
However, getting that win won’t be easy, even against a Wolves’ team that’s undergoing a tough 2016 season.
“I see a group that has gotten better,” East head coach Joey McCullough said of West. “They lost a lot of good seniors last year. They are young in the secondary … They have had some injuries that have set them back, but I’ve seen them beat a very good McKinney team (38-21) … I see a good team and good players.”
