PISD superintendent post finalized

by | Apr 5, 2018 | Latest

After a 3-week mandated wait, Sara Bonser officially moved up from interim superintendent of Plano Independent School District to the job of superintendent.

The PISD board of trustees voted Tuesday, March 27, to hire Bonser as superintendent after naming her as lone finalist for the post on March 6. State law mandates a 21-day period between selection of a lone finalist for the job of school superintendent until the finalist can officially take the post.

Bonser has filled the role of interim superintendent since Nov. 28, 2017, when Superintendent Brian Binggeli announced his resignation. Binggeli’s resignation did not become effective until Jan. 31.
