The City of Murphy will hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget and tax rate during the City Council meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, at Murphy City Hall.
The proposed $67 million budget includes a property tax rate of $0.361832 per $100 of assessed value, compared with the current rate of $0.357514. For the average Murphy homeowner whose home is valued at $592,198, this equals approximately $14 more per month, or $166 per year.
