Boys’s wrestling travel to Rockwall; girls to compete at Coppell

PLANO — PESH’S wrestling teams have some big assignments this weekend, as the boys will head to the Rockwall Tournament on Friday and Saturday, while the Lady Panthers will tangle with foes at Friday’s Cowgirl Classic in Coppell.

For the former, it’ll finally be a chance to grapple with someone else other than a teammate — the Panthers have not participated in any matches — while for the latter it’ll be another good test during an early-season schedule that’s seen PESH’s girls take part in one home tournament and several dual matches on Nov. 19 at Lewisville.

“All we’re doing is getting experience, as much mat time as we can possibly get,” boys’ head coach Alan Koebke said. “We’ve got to start turning the corner around mid-January.”
