Early voting: Murphy City Council

In early balloting compiled by Collin County Elections for the Saturday, May 3, 2025, municipal election, Place 1 Murphy Councilwoman Elizabeth Abraham had 1,303 votes, or 69.98%, to 559 votes, or 30.02% for Nadeem A. Khan.
Place 2 Councilmember W. Scott Smith was unopposed for re-election and received 1,170 votes, Collin County Elections reported after the polls closed.
Place 4 Councilmember Ken Oltmann received 1,249 votes, or 78.21%, to 348 votes, or 21.79%, for Chris Stout, Collin County Elections reported.
Place 6 Councilmember Jené Butler received 1,501 early votes, or 81.49% of the total. Qasim Rasul received 341 votes, or 18.51%, Collin County Elections said.
Results are not final until canvassed by the Murphy City Council.
