Prosper (3-1, 2-0 District 6-6A) controlled the game from start to finish, only failing to score on two of their drives, one of which ended in a missed field goal, and the other ending on the Plano East (4-1, 2-1) one-yard line, in a 42-16 win from Tom Kimbrough Stadium on Friday night.

The Eagles outgained the Panthers 557-252, with Eagles’ running back Leo Anguiano leading the way statistically with 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Braeden Imhoff threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles.

Prosper started the game with three touchdowns in the first quarter. Plano East could only answer with a Blake Letourneau field goal. After outscoring the Eagles 7-3 in the second quarter, Plano East failed to find the endzone for the rest of the game. Its lone touchdown came on an 18-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Howard from Jackson Hays.

Plano East will look to rebound next Thursday on the road against McKinney Boyd.
