The Murphy Public Works Department is considering solutions to the repeated problem of motorists failing to stop where eastbound Renner Road dead-ends at Tall Tree Drive.
There have been several accidents at that location over the past 18 years, including a car running into a house on Christmas, 2020.

Council also delayed until August 20 a proposal from the Islamic Association of Murphy for a 70-foot setback for their proposed mosque, allowing enough sanctuary space for members to pray facing in a northeast direction.
