Steve Cole recently took over the reins at the Murphy Chamber of Commerce as Chairman for 2016.
He replaced former chairman Steve Dault.
As the new chairman, Cole has a set of goals that he would like to accomplish in 2016.
“I want to enrich our current programs to further enhance membership benefits, educate our members on all the great benefits of the chamber and how to take advantage of them, and develop new programs and events to serve our members and community,” he said.
Cole, a physical therapist for 20-plus years, is the co-owner of Achieve Physical Therapy & Performance in East Plano. He moved to the Dallas area with his family in 1996 and has lived in Murphy since 2003.
Outside of work and chamber, he keeps busy with his wife Sharon (married 23 years), son Jake (senior at Austin College) and daughter Jamie (senior at Plano East).
He is also involved in his church, The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson.
Cole likes being a swim and volleyball dad, anything and everything Kansas State, working out, playing golf and watching football.
He graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Kansas State and received a master’s degree from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis.
The chamber’s next event, Spring Fever, is scheduled for Saturday, March 26 in the Lowe’s parking lot.
