The Murphy Parks and Recreation Department has announced the concert by Emerald City Band scheduled for Friday, June 5, has been postponed because of the continued threat of rain.
The concert, the first of four free Sounds at Sundown concerts held in Murphy Central Park every Friday night in June, has been postponed to Friday, July 31, the city said.
“We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as the safety of our residents and guests remains our top priority,” the city said.
The concert series will continue next week with a free performance by Dreams Unwind — a Dallas-based Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks tribute band.
