Mayor Scott Bradley says the yearly recycling art contest is one of his favorite events. “I love this,” Bradley said as he introduced Jacy Mitchell, executive administrative assistant, to begin the awards ceremony.
“We had some really creative young artists,” Mitchell said at the Tuesday, April 7, City Council meeting.
She said 39 students took part in the 13th annual edition of the contest, sponsored by Keep Murphy Beautiful and Republic Services.
Bradley congratulated the Great Job and Second-Place winners. The First-Place artwork will be displayed on the side of the Republic Services recycling truck.
