The Murphy City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission have met jointly to review a rough draft of the city’s new Master Plan, marking what staff described as the “beginning of the end” of a process that began in late 2024.
Reagan Rothenberger, director of community and economic development, said the document represents the city’s first major comprehensive plan rewrite since 2008.
“This kind of is the beginning of the end of culmination of a project that began in late 2024,” Rothenberger said at the Thursday, Feb. 19, meeting. “Tonight is really going to be a high-level overview of where we are now.”
