Three weeks after former defensive back Kenny McEntyre was inducted into the Plano East Football Hall of Fame, defensive end/linebacker/running back Landis Durham received the same honor, He was enshrined last Friday during a ceremony held at the end of the first quarter of the Panthers’ home game against Plano West. 

“It’s pretty surreal,” Durham said. “I got a notification from Coach (Roy) Woods. It’s kind of funny because coach (Nate) Collins asked me for a picture last year and it put it on the wall. My dad was there for that day as well. This season, I got another message from Coach Woods saying that they would like to formally induct me into the Hall of Fame. I’m really grateful for the honor, but it’s something bigger than myself. They need to get more guys inducted. There are so many worthy names that need to be inducted. It truly is an honor.”
