One week after losing a hard-fought five-set thriller to Allen, the Plano East volleyball team had little trouble with Princeton in a 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 27-25) road win Tuesday.

The Lady Panthers improved to 11-4 overall, 1-1 in District 6-6A.

Last weekend, Plano East put together one of the most successful runs of the weekend at the Allen Texas Open, finishing fourth overall with a 5-2 record.

The Lady Panthers swept Sachse (25-18, 25-16) and Frisco Heritage (25-14, 25-23) before grinding out a three-set win over Frisco Lone Star (20-25, 25-21, 25-21) to close out Friday. On Saturday, they added wins over Plano Senior High (25-22, 25-23) and Lake Highlands (25-21, 17-25, 25-19). Their streak was snapped late with a two-set loss to Keller (25-16, 25-20) and a three-set battle against Austin High (25-23, 25-22, 25-20).

Simone Heard powered the offense with 108 kills, supported by Marisabelle Sias with 41 kills, Leyna Anderson with 27 kills, and Kyla Slaughter with 22 kills.
