The Plano East cross country team commenced the 2025 season by competing in the Plano ISD Cross Country Invitational, held last Saturday at Hoblitzelle Park in Plano.

The Lady Panthers ran to second place and racked up 113 team points, while the Mustangs finished in second place in the team standings with 74 points. Plano East’s boys finished in sixth place, accumulating 193 points.

The top returners for the Lady Panthers set the tone for Plano East on the two-mile course. 

Plano East senior Reagan Noel earned seventh place with a time of 12 minutes, 24 seconds. Fellow senior Dyan Tecuatl also cracked the top 20, finishing in 17^th place with a time of 13:06. Junior Meena Mulford ran to 24^th place with a time of 13:16.

Rounding out the efforts for the Lady Panthers were Kate Sayler (35^th, 13:40), Brooke Tierney (13:49), Louisa Christensen (45^th, 13:55), Sarita Fino (64^th, 14:19), Reagan Diggs (71^st, 14:27) and Ana Liz Gonzalez (110^th, 16:20).

Plano East’s top male runner was junior Isaac Updike, who ran to 17^th place with a time of 10:42.

Freshman Levi Rowe (31^st, 11:01), freshman Nahuel Moreno (41^st, 11:15), junior Deyan Bhakta (46^th, 11:19), junior Michael Sharp (60^th, 11:31), freshman Grant Updike (62^nd, 11:34), junior Ryder Glenn (11:34), freshman Alex Castillo (72^nd, 11:41), freshman Joshua Cruz (82^nd, 11:51), junior Cole McBride (89^th, 11:58), sophomore Ben Mangum (109^th, 12:16), and senior Chandler Israel (113^th, 12:21) also competed for the Panthers.
