Another hearing for disputed development

Although signs indicate part of Gregory Lane is a private road, a developer asked a judge to rule the road as a public thoroughfare.

A full trial may be needed to determine whether Gregory Lane is a private road or a public thoroughfare.

Judge John Roach of the 296th District Court in McKinney refused last month to grant summary judgement sought by the city of Parker and Restore the Grasslands (RTG), the developer seeking to build on 101 acres between Parker and Murphy.

Roach held a May 27 hearing on Case No. 296-02421-2024 and issued his order on July 28.
