After 14 years at the helm of the Murphy Historical Society, Donna Jenkins is hanging up her bonnet.
Jenkins told the Tuesday, April 15, meeting of the Murphy City Council that the city was taking over groundskeeping of three cemeteries and would continue to maintain the archive of documents and photographs.
“Our motto has always been, ‘Save Murphy’s history for future generations,’” she said.
