The Murphy Police Department has received national attention for its achievement in completing a 24-month policy implementation in 4.5 months.
“We made history,” Police Chief Jeff Gibson said after taking part in a nationwide case study by Frisco-based Lexipol.
“Today, I spent the entire day on a panel review, discussing with multiple states throughout the nation on how we can collaborate and make an impact, not only to our police department this community, but to the profession itself,” Gibson told the Tuesday, Feb. 4, council meeting. “Murphy Police Department is now a gold standard across this nation.”
