Okongwu commits to Texas Southern

One of the top offensive lineman for the Plano East football team has found a home to play college football.

On Wednesday, Jan. 19, senior guard Chibuzor “KC” Okongwu announced on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account that he will play for Texas Southern University.

As a senior, Okongwu recorded 24 pancake blocks for a Panthers’ offense that average 28.5 points per game. He was named to the District 6-6A first team. Plano East went 6-4 overall and 4-4 in district play.
