Plano East junior outside hitter Simone Heard has been named the most valuable player of District 6-6A.

Heard was one of three superlative winners for the Lady Panthers.

Sophomore libero Dakota Huynh was bestowed with defensive player of the year, while head coach Sarah Perez and her staff were named the staff of the year after leading Plano East to a second-place finish in District 6-6A and a second consecutive appearance in the third round of the playoffs.
