Dozens of campers spent the night in Central Park during the city’s first campout.
It was 51 degrees Saturday morning, Nov. 16, as the sun rose over the tents pitched east of the pond in the park.
“It was so cold,” said Chinar Fattah of Allen as she helped 3-year-old Aaron get dressed. “But the kids did have a really good time.”
“It was chilly,” agreed Janet Hitt of Richardson. But 9-month-old Darcy was warm in a blanket sleeper.
