The Murphy City Council got a look at the site plan, landscape plan and building elevations for the new H-E-B grocery store proposed for 19 acres of McCreary Marketplace at the southwest corner of East FM 544 and McCreary Road. The information was released as council held a public hearing on the developer’s request for a variance to the Tree Preservation Ordinance.
Reagan Rothenberger, director of community & economic development, said the applicant proposed a grocery and retail center of about 121,000-square feet. “A restaurant with a drive-thru is also included as an incidental use of the main building,” he said. “Also included is a fuel center and car wash as permitted accessory uses.”
