CARROLLTON — Plano East head volleyball coach Sarah Perez lauded the efforts of her Lady Panthers for advancing to the third round of the postseason in back-to-back years for the first time in program history.
And while that is a significant accomplishment, given that Plano East won just two district games three years ago, Perez said that she wants her Lady Panthers to set the expectation of going even further in the playoffs in the future.
For now, Plano East has to wait 12 months to get another crack at the playoffs after losing a hard-fought battle in three sets to Class 6A-Division I’s No. 4 Keller by scores of 15-25, 24-26, 21-25 from Hebron High School on Monday evening.
