The Plano Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash involving a Murphy man.
Police said Antonio Thomas Elizondo, 27, died Saturday morning, Oct. 5, in a collision with a car in East Plano.
The accident took place about 10:30 a.m., Detective Alexandra Cole said.
“Based on a preliminary investigation, a Cadillac sedan was eastbound on East Park Boulevard and made a left turn onto San Gabriel Drive,” she said. “A motorcycle was westbound on East Park Boulevard and collided with the Cadillac.”
She said Elizondo was thrown from his bike as the Cadillac and motorcycle then collided with two other vehicles stopped at a stop sign on southbound San Gabriel Drive.
“No other drivers involved in the crash were injured,” she said.
Cole added that Elizondo was pronounced dead at the scene by Plano Fire-Rescue and the Collin County Medical Examiner was called to retrieve his body.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Eastgate Funeral Home in Garland.
