MCKINNEY — Plano East senior quarterback Jackson Hays scored the go-ahead touchdown on a four-yard run, coming on and fourth-and-goal play with 16 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, to lift the Panthers to a thrilling 34-31 win over McKinney Boyd from McKinney ISD Stadium on Thursday.

The touchdown came one drive after the Broncos converted a Hays interception into a 26-yard touchdown run by Tyler Walls for a 31-27 lead.

It was an entertaining game that featured four lead changes and two ties.

Hays threw for 246 yards on 19-of-35 through the air with one touchdown pass.

Junior running back Travis Agee led all rushers with 177 yards on 34 carries with a pair of scores.

Plano East enters its bye week at 5-1. The Panthers will return to action Friday, Oct. 18 against Prosper Rock Hill.
