The Wylie ISD board of trustees approved the budget for the 2024-25 school year.
Scott Roderick, Wylie ISD assistant superintendent for finance and operations, emphasized in his final presentation before the budget adoption that the board aims to manage growth by ensuring functional equity, maintaining financial responsibility and addressing all student needs.
At the Monday, June 17, board of trustees meeting, Roderick discussed budget factors, noting that certified property values would be released on July 25. The Collin County Appraisal District estimates the certified property value at $10.3 billion, and the projected enrollment for the next school year is 19,500 students.
