Communities & Creeks United is protesting a development between Parker and Murphy that could include a wastewater treatment plant.
The Parker City Council has refused a developer’s request to remove a 103-acre tract from the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
Council also joined at least 20 other cities in challenging a new state law allowing property owners to opt out of a city’s ETJ on 45 days’ notice.
