The Plano East Panthers saw their spring football sessions come to an end last week, as they took the field one last time. Prior to retiring their helmets and pads until fall, the boys took part in their Annual Black and Gold Spring Game at Kimbrough Stadium.
There, Coach Tony Benedetto lined the players up in a variety of drills, followed by a split-squad scrimmage. Everyone on the Plano East junior varsity and varsity football teams got to see action at the event.
Originally scheduled for Thursday, May 16, the game was bumped up a day to avoid any issues with the incoming storms. It was an event that, in many ways, celebrated the entire Plano East program. Overall, Coach Benedetto felt the event was a good way to end the spring.
