The Murphy City Council has tabled Walmart’s proposal to build a gas station and convenience store in its parking lot until next month.
The Planning & Zoning Commission voted 4-2 last month to deny the plan because of potential traffic congestion in the parking lot and along FM 544. The company then appealed directly to council.
