No. 3 Panthers add Fayetteville Championship to resume

Another tournament and another dominant performance for the Plano East basketball team.

This time, the No. 3 Plano East Panthers took their show out of state, traveling to Arkansas for the Hoopin’ on the Hill tournament in Fayetteville over the weekend. Taking on some of the neighboring states’ best teams, the Panthers cruised to a tournament victory, winning each game by double digits.

“I was happy we finished playing the tournament so well,” Coach Matt Wester said. “It was a good tournament and we knew we’d be tested, but we went into the tournament having not shot the ball well. In the first two games, we didn’t shoot the ball well again. We finally got out of that and got over the frustrations.”
