Nothing has been slowing down No. 8 Plano East to start the season.
The Panthers (7-0) cruised through the Dallas Mavs Fall Classic over the weekend, winning the varsity championship in Frisco. Taking on some of the local area teams, Plano East won all five games by 15 or more points, with an average margin of victory of 23.6 points per game.
PESH opened the tournament last Thursday, Nov. 16, with a 92-37 win over IL Texas Arlington. The Panthers dominated from the opening tip, leading 42-18 at the half thanks to a 20-6 advantage in the second quarter. The Panthers have one of the most experienced rosters in the area, something coach Matt Wester believes they can take advantage of early in the year.
