Murphy seniors and disabled residents may soon have a new way to get around. The Murphy City Council is exploring a location-specific rideshare program with trips booked on the city’s website.
Interim City Manager Allen Barnes told the Tuesday, Nov. 7, council meeting that he estimated about 9.5% of Murphy’s population, or about 2,031 residents, was over the age of 65, based on the 2020 Census.
