A Hunt Elementary group of fifth graders earned their Girl Scout Bronze Award for helping their community last week.
The award is one of the highest awards that a Scout can earn, and to receive it, they must make a difference in their town.
The girls, all members of Girl Scout Troop #252, helped the Murphy Animal Shelter by raising over $600 to buy items that the shelter needed.
