The Murphy City Council convened a special meeting Monday night to consider appointing a new city manager; it went into a four-hour executive session to interview four finalists for the job and then took no action on the matter.
The meeting began at 6 p.m. and Mayor Scott Bradley adjourned the session at 10:30 p.m.
Allen Barnes has been serving as interim city manager since former City Manager Mike Castro resigned in August.
According to Barnes, the city will discuss the city manager finalists at the Tuesday, Nov. 7 council meeting.
The Monitor http://murphymonitor.com will update information, online and in print, regarding the matter as it is released.
