A welcome soaking rain earlier in the week helped green up Murphy Central Park just in time for the 14th Maize Days festival. The temperature was a pleasant 70 degrees as admission began at noon, Saturday, Oct. 7.
Visitors to the annual event were greeted by two yellow inflatable tube men resembling corn cobs.
