Taxpayers would save more than a nickel per $100 valuation next year under a proposed tax rate adopted by the Murphy City Council.
Councilmembers passed a resolution at their Tuesday, Aug. 15, meeting that would set the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 tax rate at 41 cents and schedule a public budget hearing at the Tuesday, Sept. 5, meeting. The final rate would be adopted after the hearing.
