A dozen young cadets spent five days learning to be blue at the Murphy Youth Citizens Police Academy. During the week, students received instruction and hands-on demonstrations of the many duties and skills required for police work.
Police Chief Chris Chandler welcomed the 12 kids on Monday, June 26, before they were issued t-shirts and duty belts with a holster and handcuff pouch.
