Mayor Scott Bradley has urged all residents to visit Murphy’s parks, recreation facilities, open spaces, trails and outdoor events. The call came in a proclamation designating July as Parks and Recreation Month in Murphy.
The proclamation issued at the Tuesday, June 20, regular council meeting, said parks and recreation programs positively impact the social, economic, health and environmental quality of the community and outdoor areas ensure ecological beauty and provide a place for children and adults to connect with nature.
