The 2023 football season is just around the corner, with the Plano East Panthers ramping up spring practices and workouts for the upcoming season.

Plano East had a strong start to the season under first-year head coach Tony Benedetto, but a combination of unfortunate injuries and a difficult District 6-6A had the Panthers lose their final seven games of the season to finish 3-7. Despite the finish, the rebuilding Plano East program has improved its win total in each of the last two seasons, and still has plenty of young talent on the rise, with the Panthers junior varsity team winning six games last year and two freshman teams also winning six games.

With senior quarterback Drew Devillier returning after throwing 18 touchdowns last season, the Panthers hope this is the year they can break through and reach the playoffs.
