Like dandelions in the spring, new speed signs are popping up around Murphy as the Police Department increases traffic enforcement. Chief Chris Chandler told the city council at its Tuesday, April 18, meeting that drivers got accustomed to less enforcement during the pandemic, so he asked Sgt. Kyle Sarles to improve the department’s efforts.
“Our number one goal is to reduce the number of traffic accidents,” the sergeant told council.
