If an autistic child wanders off or a senior with dementia or Alzheimer’s gets lost, Murphy police officers have a program that could help them get home.
Shannon Long, communications supervisor for the Murphy Police Department, said “Take Me Home” is a free and voluntary information sharing program originally developed by the Pensacola, Florida, Police Department to assist people who could have problems communicating with police or other first responders.
